Jaden - Sweet!
Hey guys!

Just making a quick update to let you know that all my episodes and every other video that was taken down are finally back online. Just got an e-mail from Youtube restoring all the missing videos. Enjoy! :)

Trooper on toilet
Yeeeah, for some reason, my videos aren't back up right now. I'm not sure why. It's past the 10-14 days for the Counter-Claim to resolve. Not exactly sure why that claim isn't budging. I don't seem to be the only one affected in this way either. I noticed LK got his account back but many of his videos are still MIA. I'm guessing because NAS in a Japanese Company, it's been affected by the horrible tragedy that's been unfolding in Japan lately, which may be what's holding everything up. When I get a spare moment, I'll look into this and probably e-mail Youtube Copyright Services for more details.

In the meantime, you've probably noticed my lack of updates on my channel recently and that's for a few reasons. One is that I've been a bit sick for the past little while. I was sick on my reading week almost immediately after suffering some food poisoning when I ate out one night weeks ago. Then I've had a sore throat ever since the food poisoning and now I'm sick AGAIN. So yeah, my health's gone down the crapper lately.

Another reason, besides the fact that I'm busy and just not updating, is because of a little confession I have to make. Sephirex has become less important to me lately. Don't get me wrong, the persona and everything I do as Sephirex is and always will be of great importance to me and I'm not giving it up. Problem is that now I actually have to focus on preparing myself professionally and skillfully. Sephirex is something I created in High School, because, and I've said this enough, I hated high school. It was pretty much the only way I could keep myself sane and not totally miserable during those 4 years, especially since people at school have almost always driven me mad. Sephirex was my way of feeling like I had some sort of power, that I wasn't insignificant. Now, everything's changed. I'm really happy now and I'm doing what I've always wanted. Sephirex just hasn't become as important as it used to be. That doesn't mean, I'm revealing my identity now that everything's honky dorey. Sephirex is an identity that helps me out in my worst times. If I know my luck, I know that my happiness won't last forever. In fact, I might have already sown my own seeds of destruction further down the line in my personal life. But the thing that has always made Sephirex so important to me is that my life doesn't matter. No matter what people think of me, no matter what I do, it doesn't carry on into what people think of me as Sephirex. This is why I am so overprotective as to my identity (To be honest I've been so lax with what information I give out about myself lately, I need to stop). Sephirex is my escape, a release, and revealing my personal life into that would completely close that off permanently. I need that escape. Sephirex will always be important and I have no plans to quit making videos at all, but it's role in my life is just slowly decreasing for the time being. I hope those that are reading can understand.

Anyway, I have another announcement to make. Despite what I said a few months ago, I will NOT be in the Abridgers panel at Anime North this year. Was going to, but I have an internship with a presentation that weekend. The internship might be my paid JOB at that point, so it's kind of important that I go. I've talked it over with Zeromaster and he's let me submit videos which he'll show at the panel which I am grateful for so I'll be there in spirit. :)

And lastly, I got Pokemon Black and I'm really enjoying it. Haven't gotten my Friend Code yet, my connection is still not configured right, but message me and I'll send you my FC when I get one.

Toodles!
Do I look like I give a F***?
Yeeeeah, if you haven't heard already my account got stormed by bots again, except it's never happened on such a big scale before. A bot acting on behalf of the Japanese company Nihon Ad Systems (NAS) went on a removal spree today and removed all of my episodes and a few other videos. The same bot also suspended LittleKuriboh's CardGamesFTW account as well as caused numerous people some trouble I'm sure.

Surprisingly enough though, I haven't been suspended again yet. For some odd reason, when the bot took down my videos, it did so in bulk which counted as ONE copyright strike instead of the 26 strikes I should have gotten, not that I'm complaining (But they did flood my e-mail with over 20 removal messages). They targeted primarily my episodes only, so, with some exception, the rest of my videos are still online for now.

I have filed a DMCA Counter Claim for all of my videos that were taken down and they all should be back up within about a week or two. It's pretty easy to get videos and accounts back now. Companies are way too busy to actually bother confronting the thousands of people their bots catch in court so this is really a scare tactic if anything else. I have yet to hear a corporation actually sue after someone does a counter-claim. Heck, even Viacom didn't sue me when I eventually disputed the claim on my old Avatar video and I was sure that they would've done something.

So yeah, you should probably subscribe to my back-up accounts (ItsTimeToCheat, Sephirecks and WhatifSephirex) If you don't want to lose touch with me on Youtube.

In other news, I recently got Xbox Live Gold Membership for my GreatSephirex gamertag. I didn't really want to, but I've had a desire to play with a few other abridgers and fans online and Microsoft had a deal where Gold was 20% off and you get a free game, which I haven't gotten yet, so I caved and did it even though I don't think I should've since my personal gamertag is Gold already. Oh well. Add me and I'll see you on Live sometime.

Ladies and Gentlemen... May I present...

I hate this episode, I really do. Don't get me wrong, I actually kinda like the final product, but this episode caused me so much stress. First off, this is not one of the episodes I was looking forward to doing. I actually like doing the plot related episodes more, this episode just felt pointless and I didn't have much enthusiasm to do it when I had free time. Second, when I finally finished it last week, I had MASSIVE rendering problems and I essentially had to re-edit most of it so the mouths would move properly and I didn't have clipping issues. I think I fixed most of the issues, but there are a few small ones here and there. I just got to the point where I was like "FUCK THIS!" and just released it today. So yeah, I hope you like it, especially the ending(s).

I haven't been feeling too great lately. Last Wednesday, I felt terrible. I had an assignment where a group and I had to go to a restaurant and report on our experience and I woke up with food poisoning the next day. I vomitted alot, including on the train home and in front of my house just steps away from coming home, but was pretty much fine when I woke up the day after. This Wednesday, I just randomly felt bad from the afternoon to this morning. I feel much better now, although my throat still hurts a bit. I dunno what's going on with me lately.

Anyway, new episode. Enjoy.

P.S. I GOT MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3!!! IT'S SO AWESOME!!!!
Joey & Dice
So yeah, Happy belated Valentine's Day to everyone. I'm late by about 2 hours, yay! I spent Valentine's Day alone, which I don't think is such a bad thing. I will straight up admit, I've NEVER been in an actual relationship before and I'm not ashamed of that, especially considering the people I grew up with. The last thing I'd want is to have a relationship with people from my High School at this point. Back on topic, Valentine's Day is to me what it is any other regular day and it doesn't bother me in the least, but if you do have a special someone, cherish them and appreciate them everyday. You shouldn't need Valentine's Day to affirm your love for each other.

Anyway, I'm sure everyone is wondering where the new episode is or if I'm even making another one. After all, it's been like 7 months right? Be sure, I have not quit. in fact, Episode 26 was finished last Friday.

So why is the new episode not up yet? It's because I'm having massive rendering problems up the ass. At this point, I'll let minor errors slide, but these are significant, visible problems that need fixing. I fixed the major problem I think over the weekend (I tried to fix the episode for almost 10 hours on Saturday), but rendering is still an issue. I actually had to go back and redo almost all of the lip flaps AGAIN so that it would (hopefully) stop glitching, which has worked in for about half the problems, it's really frustrating. So far, I think I got all the problems fixed except two and seeing as I have no time tonight due to being up to my ears in assignments, I'll try finding time to do it tomorrow. If not, tomorrow or Wednesday, I'll definitely be able to get it done by Thursday. Either way, it's going down this week. Consider it a late Valentine's present, from me to you (Even if that present will rape your ear).

Speaking of this week, MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3 IS OUT!!!!! Yep as of 2 hours ago it was February 15th, meaning that it is now available. A game 11 years in the making, sequel to my favorite game of all time is finally here and I plan to pick up my Pre-Order before I go to class tomorrow. Can't freaking wait to get it.

I actually tried the game today. A independent game store I really like had it on display today and I played through the Arcade Mode. My team consisted of Spider-Man (My main fighter since the original Marvel Super Heroes game), Iron Man and Wesker. Wesker was the one that I primarily wanted to try out due to his teleport move. Unfortunately, his Teleport is the same command as a Shoryuken and laugh at me all you want, but I can't do a Shoryuken if my life depended on it, except by accident. I often do that movement by total fluke alot of the time, I'm just not exactly sure how. The game was fun, but the controls are new. If this was a Gamecube controller (I played on the PS3 version at the store, but I'm getting the 360 version) I could use the same mentality as Tatsunoko Vs Capcom in terms of button placement. Since I'm not and now I have the new Special/Launch button to deal with, it was quite jarring at first and I still haven't gotten used to the control scheme. I'm sure I'll start getting it after I play it a few times. I beat the Arcade Mode on the first try, including beating Galactus and let me tell you Galactus is one irritating son of a bitch. I barely beat him with Wesker as my last character remaining. Pretty much, he has his Heralds attack you which can come from both directions at once and after you kill them, you have to kill Galactus which has the health of 3 characters put together and he has several moves which kill you easily. Thankfully, he didn't get to use the major laser moves which kill easily.

Well, I'm off to bed. Bleh.

Screw the Money I have Rules

Made a quick, half-assed video to tell you guys that the beloved theme song of The Amazing Kaibaman is available for download here.

Click Here To Download All 4 of The Amazing Kaibaman Songs

It's been a long time coming, partly due to my incompetence. I wanted to put the song up for download, but I wanted to pack something extra with it so I asked The Amazing Voice Actor of Kaibaman, Mugen26 to re-record a slightly altered version of the song both with the background track I used before and the original classic Spider-Man instrumentals that I found. He sent them to me late October, but I was so busy with coursework around that time that I totally forgot about them up until a few days ago. I always wanted to record the Kaibaman song with my new mic and since I got a Pop Filter now, I took a shot at it and recorded it yesterday. My version doesn't compare to the awesomeness of Mugen26 singing though, his tracks are definitely better.

Yeah, I know this isn't going to satisfy you until Episode 26 is out, but trust me, I"m working on it and I promise that it won't take as long to make Episode 27 after.

Today was funny. We've been told all week that there's going to be a big snowstorm today. Personally, I didn't believe the hype. Lately, every "snowstorm" we get is a light or normal flurry and everyone acts like the world's going to end. Today was no different. Did we get snow? Yes. Did we get ALOT of it? No, we got regular snowfall for this time of year and yet everyone's still in a panic. Stores weren't open, The entire Public School Board and several Universities were closed and had a snow day... except mine. I talked to people in my class and it seemed nobody was going to class so I stayed home and made my own snow day. I feel entitled to one at this point, after all, it's snowed 5 times harder than this several times before and I didn't get no Snow Days when that happened. This amount of snow is in no way irregular or fear-inducing (unless you're driving in which any snow is a problem, then you should try be safe and not drive like a dumbass). I'm starting to think Canadians are becoming too Americanized. Seriously, you'd think people thought they were living in Florida or Texas or somewhere hot instead of Canada by their petrifying reaction to snow. We're in Canada, people! I spent the day catching up on a few video games and doing some homework. Ironically, I was going to spend the rest of today editing after I finished something that I thought was due tomorrow, but I was totally frustrated and stuck with my assignment. My friend told me about half an hour ago that it's actually due next week. So yeah, I wasted a day I could've used to edit and finish the episode. But it's okay, I'll have another day to do it very soon.

To see how people in Canada seem to react to snow for some reason nowadays, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZEMRAWaVr8
26th-Jan-2011 12:47 am - Be a Hero
Winged Kuriboh
About a week ago, I received a message from someone who had read my last LJ post just as I was going to bed. The message really shocked me... In a good way. Basically, they told me how my previous entry, telling the struggles of my life, comparing it to Peter Parker and my current life now, had given them hope. They explained how they are currently pretty much going through almost exactly the turmoil and pain I felt up until 6 months ago and that I made them optimistic for the future.

I'm not going to say who it was; it was a private message for a reason. However, the message really touched me personally. My LiveJournal is where I blog and dump about stuff that's going on my life. Almost nobody reads it, and I'm kinda happy about that, but I find it cool how some people do read it. Never, though, did I think I could affect someone in such a positive way just by making a blog post. It always astounds me when I get messages like this and makes me feel great and remember why I do what I do. Never (at least to my recollection) has someone responded in such a way to my blog posts. I sincerely want to thank that person for their message. It really inspired me that I had done that, especially when I wasn't even trying to. It inspired me so much that I've gotten more done in terms of personal work and projects in a week than I have in a month and it inspired me to keep going in everything I do. Inspiration works both ways.

That's when I realized that we should all try to do this, in our own way. Be an H-word... No, not Hentai. Be a Hero! Be someone's hero. Be an Elemental Hero... Okay, maybe not that last one, but Be a Hero.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't need super powers, or a costume or even special fighting skills to be a hero. You really don't. All you need, is the selfless drive to become a positive change in people's lives. Not because you expect something in return, but because you want to, with no expectation or need for a reward. Being a Hero can be as simple as holding the door for someone somewhere, trying your best to help someone when they need help with something, aiding a friend or relative, trying to talk and get to know a person at work/school who you haven't talked to before that's sitting alone. The potential to be a hero is within all of us.

Unfortunately, we have the jerks who we can really paint as villains from our point of view. We can't give up against those people. We shouldn't become them or stoop to their level. We shouldn't try to put people down people or make them feel bad about themselves. We should encourage people, try to get to know and understand them, and make them feel like a real person. I know we can't all get along with everyone, unfortunately it doesn't seem like that will change, but we shouldn't be blinded by prejudice. At least try to get to know a person before you feel like judging them. I almost guarantee that you and them will share something in common that wasn't expected. Throw away expectations that the person is a "jock" or "weird" or a "computer geek" and just reach out to them. No matter what color, religion or race we are, we are all human. None of us are perfect and we're all unique, embrace this and don't just shun everybody that's even the slightest bit unlike you.

All my life, all I've tried to do is help people in some way, it's just what I feel I have to do. I encourage you to do the same. You'll be amazed how much your actions will affect people and make a positive change in their life no matter how small your heroic deed is. A simple act can make somebody's day. Do it for me, and if not for me, do it for whoever you hold dear. Do good wherever you go, no matter the situation, and with whoever you encounter. Be an inspiration to someone. Be a beacon of light and hope.

Be a Hero.

Happy New Year

A few days ago, I released my first ever fandub on my WhatifSephirex channel. No, Abridged Series do NOT count as fandubs, they're parodies. This is a scene from The Spectacular Spider-Man, an amazing show that got cancelled after 2 seasons. I guess it's the ultimate irony, since before the show came out, I learned about it's existence after a having a REALLY bad day and went on an angry tirade about it on a forum somewhere, only to love the show once it actually got released and now it's one of my favorite cartoons. This scene I really liked from the show and I've always wanted to play Spider-Man/Peter Parker since FOREVER so this was me living out a childhood fantasy. This video was also done using footage from the Season 1 DVD that I actually bought and edited on my Macbook with Adobe Premiere Pro (a Program I'm less than friends with right now) If it's not too much trouble, please give me a critique. Be as relentlessly brutal in your critique as you want to, all I ask is that it's constructive. I really value your opinions and want to know what you think so I can improve.

On my main Sephirex Youtube Channel, for the past 2 years now I think, I've had "The Spider-Man of the Abridged Community" on the top of my channel. It was a bit of an inside joke, but I did that for the sole reason that no matter how much I try to make people laugh and entertain them, my public approval rating hasn't always been the best, but I keep doing it anyway, much like the actual character (although public approval isn't something I really care about). There wasn't really that much meaning in why I put it on there, but it's meaning has accidentally grown quite a bit to me, especially between 2009 - 2010.

Click here to see why Sephirex = Spider-Man )

So yeah, that's my rant with how much I connect with Peter Parker and his alter ego. Also, so I can try to make people understand why I wear a mask on my videos and refuse to give my name out. If you don't understand why after this, then I ask that you please respect my choice. In a bit of related news, a few months ago, the abridger Zeromaster has invited me to be part of an Abridging Panel at Anime North this year. I don't know why, but I said yes and will be there at the panel this year. It'll be my very first panel and I'll be there to talk and hopefully reveal a few videos, so if you're going to be there, feel free to come talk and say hi. I'm a bit excited for the panel, but I'm mostly nervous and freaking terrified about it. I will, as you'd expect, be wearing a mask. Not sure which mask yet. I only have an Iron Man mask, but I'm thinking of getting another mask, since Iron Man's will make it difficult to use a microphone at the panel and because I want another mask anyway. Problem is, I don't know many other places in the city that sell good ones. Anybody have any suggestions for masks and where to buy them?

Also, I'm thinking of fandubbing 2 scenes if I have time next month. One from Spider-Man again (since people seem to have liked my voice as the character and I liked doing him), and the other from something else. Does anyone reading this have any suggestions for a show/anime and/or character/scene I should try out for either of them?
Christmas Winged Kuriboh

Here's the Christmas video for this year. I was seriously considering not making a Christmas Special this year as I didn't really have any good ideas for this one, but I felt kinda obligated due to that guy who mentioned my Christmas specials in his 4th Anniversary video segment (CURSE YOU WHOEVER YOU ARE!!! Kidding!). I was originally going to go with a Sartorius Christmas Special but it was long, would require alot of work and had little to do with Christmas so I'm putting that video off for another time. This was my "I-have-no-clue-what-to-do-so-I'll-crap-this-out" idea.

I literally put this together at the last minute. I recorded it Thursday and edited the whole thing last night... until 4:30 in the morning. Would've been done sooner, but the Para & Dox parts that I used in the 10th Anniversary Trailer went missing and I had to find them. The only hitch in the video is that some of the song briefly cuts out for some odd reason. After my parents and I exchanged gifts today, I looked it over and uploaded it so this is, quite literally, hours in the making.

My parents spoiled me way too much this Christmas. They got me way too many gifts. I got I got a Microphone Pop Filter (really needed this), some clothes, Sonic Colors, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, an SD card, a camera case, Xbox and Nintendo points cards, a shaving kit (derp), over $200 (although most of the money was from other relatives), inking supplies, 500GB Portable Hard Drive and Toy Story 3. Admittedly, everything they got (except the shaving kit) was on my Christmas List, but I didn't want this much of it. I would've been more than happy with 2 or 3 of these. I'm not ungrateful or complaining but I don't think I deserve this much, I mean, the money spent on this could've been better used elsewhere I think. I dunno, I'm just the kinda person who doesn't really want much, if anything at all.

Still, I am very appreciative and thankful for all I have received. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy the comfort of friends and family.

Happy Holidays!!!
15th-Dec-2010 05:32 pm - SEMESTER ONE DONE!
Screw the Money I have Rules
Yep, just finished my first semester of University about an hour ago. I had 2 exams last week, but one course had a take home exam with today, December 15th at exactly 4 PM, as the deadline. The Take home exam was brutal. Two 6 - 8 page essays on a text book I've barely touched let alone read prior to the assignment. I'll start blogging about my experiences and feelings about my awesome first semester of University later.

If you're used to seeing me around Youtube or Twitter, note that I'm going to be offline for a few days. The hiatus is because my Macbook Pro, as much as I love it, needs to go get fixed. A few weeks ago, my headset jack broke and the tip of it got stuck in the headphone socket. You wouldn't think it to be that big a problem, but trust me, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUT! I've tried toothpicks, needles, tweesers, Stickytac, everything, it just won't come out. As a result my laptop can't make sound AT ALL. It's confused since it senses the jack inside it but there's no source to output it to, making it a bit of a paradox for the system. Afterwards, I used my extended warranty on the Headhpones, which I bought in April, to get new ones that looked almost exactly the same and connected solely though USB instead of the ones that broke which featured jacks with a separate USB attatchment. Thankfully, headphones used via USB work perfectly fine and has been the only way the machine will make sound for the past few weeks. I went to the Apple store the day after this happened and they said it would cost $1000 to replace the logic board BUT he'll do me a favor and do it for free (Considering how many favors I heard other employees give to customers that day I highly doubt it was some special just-for-you favor and is just used to make you feel especially grateful but I'm not going to complain and be incredibly grateful anyway). They said the part would arrive a few days later and they'd call me but I never got a call. A few minutes ago I called and they said they apparently just got the logic board today for some reason and was on the verge of calling me (The day's almost over so I kinda doubt that, but nonetheless I'm grateful). So, in order to fix it ASAP and give me some weekend computer fun time I'm sending it into the store tonight meaning that I'll hopefully get it back by Friday.

As such I'll be totally offline until I get my Macbook back. See ya later!

P.S. ZEXAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
